divergent Connect supports receiving SMS messages back within the platform when you are using a VMN (Virtual Mobile Number) provided through us.
Messages sent to this VMN will show within your portal, and within a Contact record if there is any available for the sending number.
Obtaining a VMN
To get your own Virtual Mobile Number, within divergent Connect click 'Settings' and then 'Senders'. Click the 'Add VMN' button to get started.
Note that the process is not automatic, and you must provide a reason for requesting the VMN which typically justifies the usage of the number and what sorts of messages will be received. Your new VMN will typically be issued within 24 hours.
VMNs are priced at £10 per month.
When a VMN is added to your account, you are able to use it as a 'Sender' for your outbound messages. That way, anyone who simply replies to the message you've sent will come straight back through to divergent Connect.
